About the artist
Ruth’s work explores the fleeting beauty of nature, memory and the delicate balance between abstraction and realism. Inspired by organic forms, shifting light and the ephemeral qualities of flowers and foliage, she employs soft, atmospheric layers of pigment to create dreamlike compositions that evoke movement and nostalgia. Her process allows the paint and plants to guide the composition. Through her work, Ruth seeks to capture quiet, meditative moments in nature, inviting viewers to pause, reflect and immerse themselves in a world of serenity and subtle beauty.
A graduate of the Courtauld Institute of Art, Ruth works in heritage settings in SW London as a conservation technician, volunteer gardener and floral artist.
